Privacy Policy

Effective 24 September 2026. Applies to the XLSX Editor app for Windows published by HAYAH.

The short version

XLSX Editor works with your spreadsheets on your own PC. It does not upload your files, does not collect personal information, has no account, and contains no analytics or advertising code.

Your files

The app reads only the files you open, drop onto it, or open with it from File Explorer, and writes only the files you save, export or print to. File contents never leave your device.

Recovery copies and settings

To protect unsaved work, the app keeps recovery copies of open workbooks in its own folder on your PC (%LOCALAPPDATA%\HAYAH\XlsxEditor\Recovery). A copy is removed when you save or close the workbook; copies you discard are deleted after 7 days. Your preferences and your list of recent files are stored locally too. Uninstalling the app removes them.

Network use

The app makes no network requests of its own. The spreadsheet engine's usage reporting is switched off. HAYAH runs no server that the app talks to. Microsoft Store services may check the app's license and, if you choose to, show the Store's rating dialog.

Purchases

This version has no in-app purchases. If a future version offers one, it will be made through the Microsoft Store with your Microsoft account; HAYAH never sees your payment details. Microsoft's handling of that data is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Diagnostics

The app sends no diagnostics of its own. Windows may send crash reports to Microsoft according to your Windows diagnostic settings, and Microsoft may share aggregated reports with HAYAH through Partner Center. These contain no spreadsheet content.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
